The Trojans did not lose a single game because of their offense last year, and we can expect more of the same in 2023. In the three games they lost in 2022, the defense gave up 43,47, and 46 points.
This defense must improve if Lincoln Riley wants any chance at making the CFP playoffs. Him being the head coach, I think he got a hint of that because they brought in some serious talent that will most certainly contribute right from the start.
I could write 3 pages on what Caleb WIlliams means to this team and how good he is, but I won’t. You know he is a dawg, I know he is a dawg and we can just leave it at that. He will have some new faces around him this year but it just doesn’t matter. As long as they have two arms, two legs, and somewhat of a competent skill set (which they do), Caleb Williams can work with that. Afterall, he is a Heisman Trophy winner.
Here we go:
Week 0 vs. San Jose State (W)’
Week 1 vs. Nevada (W)
Week 2 vs. Stanford (W)
Week 3 BYE
Week 4 @ Arizona State (W)
Week 5 @ Colorado (W)
Week 6 vs. Arizona (W)
Week 7 @ ND (W)
Week 8 vs. Utah (W)
Week 9 @ California (W)
Week 10 vs. Washington (W)
Week 11 @ Oregon (L)
Week 12 vs. UCLA (W)
Pac-12 Championship vs. Utah (W). 12-1.
Utah got them twice last year, the Trojans will get them twice this year and earn a berth in the 2023 CFP.
