Countdown to Kickoff Day 49: #2 Penn State Nittany Lions

I can no longer contain my excitement for Penn State and I am not even a fan. This year, however, I have money on them to win the whole damn thing so I will be rooting for the Nittany Lions to go all the way like they’re my own child.

James Franklin has his most talented team from top to bottom this year, and has Trace McSorley 2.0 as their play caller, except for this version has the potential to be even better and take Penn State places that Trace McSorley couldn't.

Drew Allar is the new QB in town and he is not talked about enough. The nation will be put on notice sooner rather than later, but in regards to his potential, I will quote the great Michael Jordan, “the ceiling is the roof.” Allar doesn’t even have to have a perfect season for this team to be great though, they have the second best running back duo in the big ten and maybe even in the nation, same goes for their offensive line. The weapons and options Penn State has this year on both sides of the baal are unmatched or ~Unrivaled~

Manny Diaz’ defense will be top-10 like they always are and will have opponents shaking in their boots every single game with Curtis Jacobs, Abdul Carter, Chop Robinson, Kalen King, and Adisa Isaac staring them straight into their souls.

Coach Franklin has taken this team everywhere except the CFP. He has won 11 games three times, won a Rose Bowl game, won a Cotton Bowl, won a Fiesta Bowl, and is the winner of the 2016 matchup against Ohio State on 10/22 (AKA my favorite football game ever). He is due, and the fans are getting impatient.

This is the year. If you don’t believe me, I’ll talk to you in January.

Prediction: 11-1 regular season (loss to Ohio State). Big Ten Champions (defeat Wisconsin in the championship game), National Champions (defeat Georgia in the big one). We Are.
